Homeownership

Owning a home is one of the most important accomplishments that a person will achieve in his or her lifetime.   The Durham Community Land Trustees, Inc. is dedicated to making homeownership a reality for low and moderate-income families.  The Land Trust provides homeownership counseling and referrals for needed services throughout the home purchase process.  DCLT currently utilizes the community land trust approach to homeownership.  Our homeownership program targets families in the 80% median income or less.

Rental Housing

Approximately, 40% of DCLT’s affordable housing stock is permanent rental housing.  This program includes both apartments and single-family houses. Most availability for rental units will be in Morehead Glen Apartments (20 units – Rock Street) and West Park Apartments (10 units- Cornell, Carrol, Exum Streets).  To check availability in these units contact them directly at (919) 403-0916.  See available housing for additional vacancies.
