DCLT’s Community Resources

Financial Education

Reinvestment Partners is a HUD-certified housing counseling agency that offers foreclosure prevention, pre-purchase and rental counseling to resident in Durham.
Here is a link to their 2019 Class Schedule.

The Community Empowerment Fund (CEF) cultivates opportunities, assets, and communities that support the alleviation of homelessness and poverty. They offer financial education, relationship-based support to homeless and near-homeless individuals, and matched savings accounts for DCLT homeowners.

CEF also manages a Community Resource Database.  Oconnect.info is a consolidated community listing of services and resources offered by government and/or non-profit organizations locally. The database has been compiled through the efforts of organizations county-wide and is free and accessible to anyone online.

Regional Durham Finance Center’s Education and Counseling Programs offers one-on-one financial education and counseling, consumer credit counseling, and home-ownership education and counseling sessions with professional, certified counselors.
